Shekerinska and Osmani received a donation of protective medical equipment from Bulgaria – Allied and European solidarity in action

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Radmila Shekerinska, together with the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs and the National Coordinator for allocation of foreign assistance in the country, Bujar Osmani, received today from the Bulgarian Ambassador, Angel Angelov, a donation of protective medical equipment for support in the dealing with COVID – 19, and intended for public health as well as for the members of the Military Medical Centre in the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia.

At the handover of the donation, Minister Shekerinska expressed gratitude and said that at a time when Bulgaria is also facing this great global crisis, it is showing real solidarity to two friendly, neighbouring countries, NATO allies.

Deputy Prime Minister Osmani pointed out on the importance of mutual assistance in times of a global crisis, as an expression of good neighbourly relations between the two countries and the promotion of European solidarity in action. He said that the protective equipment will be used for the right purpose – combating the global pandemic caused by COVID – 19 and that such cooperation is aimed at fulfilling the common goal for the European future of the entire region.

The total donation consists of 600 reusable medical protective suits, 300 pairs of protective goggles and 300 face visors.
