A Chinese donation of protective medical equipment for the needs of the Army received

Today, protective medical equipment consisting of 62,000 protective masks, 4,200 protective goggles, 3,000 visors, 6,000 protective suits and kits, gloves, infusion pumps, electric thermometers and 2 sets of thermal helmets was received in the barracks Gjorche Petrov as a donation of the People’s Republic of China, in total value of about 250,000 Euros.

At the donation handover ceremony, the State Secretary in the Ministry, Dragan Nikolikj, expressed hgis gratitude to People’s Republic of China and the Chinese people for, as he said, this humanitarian gesture.

“Only through solidarity activities, sharing of experiences and lessons learned can we all together defeat this pandemic the in the region and globally, on a global scale” said Nikolikj and stressed that the Army members for whom this donation is intended have demonstrated the highest level of readiness to deal with the challenges caused by the coronavirus since the very beginning of the pandemic.

The Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to our country, Zhang Zhuo, stressed that this is a sincere support of the Chinese people in the fight against the virus and that the donation confirms the cooperation between the two armies in practice. The Chinese ambassador expressed his hope that jointly we will be able to defeat the virus as soon as possible.
